Too many non-verbal children are not taught to read or write

In this video put together for a virtual parliamentary event with MPs, Jonathan Bryan makes a powerful case for improved support for non-verbal children like him. He is a voice for the voiceless.

Jonathan wrote the speech, which his friend kindly read out.

The virtual parliamentary event was hosted by Mary Foy MP and the Disabled Children’s Partnership on 17 June 2022 as part of the #SENDABetterMessage campaign on the government’s plans to reform support for disabled children and families through the ‘SEND Green Paper’.

This video was played to a group of over 30 MPs, Peers and their staff. Find out more about the #SENDABetterMessage campaign: https://disabledchildrenspartnership.org.uk/sendabettermessage/
